Me and Ri at the bloom pavillion being wanna-be ropers... lol someday. I am already taking roping lessons with a friend of mine and her dad... but maybe some time this summer we can actually start roping calves.

Also, here are 2 videos from this past weekend on me and Riata loping the pattern.
First one is Walla Walla... she broke to the trot because the people in stands spooked her a bit:

I really like how you stay seated in the saddle and always weight the correct seatbone (sry, I don't know how it's expressed in english). Anyway, your horsie is lovely! <3

Thanks! Yea, my horse goes a lot off of leg pressure and my seat... the deeper I sit, the slower she will go.. and thats what I do when I go around the barrel... which is called rating. :D

I like to rope jump standards with my lug, haha. Apparently, he used to be a roping horse. He is pretty cow-savvy, for a paint/percheron cross. I drag all sorts of stuff on him though. Those ropings are so much fun! I've been to one that went on until 2 in the morning. That was a long night....

I have two friends that do roping I'm hoping to start soon as I don't have to stay with my little sister after next school year and I move to where they are lol. Still a fun sport to watch and learn really pretty horse too
