Some of these are from local jackpots that me and Flint just dinked around in... Flintrock is obviously not much of a barrel horse, but he sure does try!

Ellensburg Rodeo is just around the corner [labor day weekend]! Cant wait!! Is anyone going? How about the Pendleton Round Up?

Got a media pass for the 2009 Ellensburg Rodeo which is a pretty big PRCA rodeo. And my roommate who works at the rodeo office put in a really good word for me and really talked me up to the main guy I suppose and I think they allowed it so that I can have arena access which is totally awesome, cause there are only ever like 3 people in there! And I know for a fact Im gonna be the youngest out there among all these big time photographers (mostly who are PRCA photographers and follow the circuit).
So I am pretty stoked to say the least. Not to mention this rodeo is usually televised so look for meeee!! haha. I will be there on Monday, for the finals, incase anyone goes.

EDITED: I HAVE ARENA ACCESS!!! Officially approved by the PRCA! Eeeee!!!

My college rodeo season has ended as of last week... we had 3 college rodeos right in a row every weekend, and that just beats the snot out of ya. So I am looking forward to this weekend of absolutely NOTHING. Well maybe a barrel race, but thats in town. lol

Helix Rodeo is coming up in 2 weeks, and I will be there! I'm totally excited to shoot that rodeo because Im going to use my dads Nikon D300 and a new lens that he bought. So it should be uber fun, and hopefully the weather cooperates!

In recent news, I dont know if anyone here receives The Competitor? I highly doubt it... but anyways, they had a photo contest and I ended up winning. I submitted the photo, Helix: Just like the movies, and it got a full page spread. It was pretty neat. PHOTO: [link]

And as you will see I have been posting a lot of photos of myself competing, which hopefully you guys dont mind. I just think its nice to show you that although I photograph rodeo, I also do it too.

So thats pretty much all I can think of right now... Things have been slow, I've been super busy with school and rodeo, and just havent had time for photography... but I will say Im sure you will get sick of my stuff in a few weekends when Helix rolls around.
